Ridea 6CBB Gecko Grip is the ultimate solution for creaky Press-Fit systems. An easy to install bottom bracket made with the last technology in Forged Carbon and the exclusive Gecko Grip technology to assure you smooth and silent rides.
All 6CBB bottom brackets use bearings with steel races and ceramic balls. As an option, higher quality bearings with stainless steel races and 4 years of warranty are also available.
While some models are exclusive for 24 mm spindles (Ridea, Shimano and others), most 6CBB Gecko Grip are compatible with a variety of spindle diameters thanks to the use of spindle sleeves to adapt to 24, 25 (Campagnolo), 29 (Ridea and SRAM DUB) and 30 mm spindles.

GECKO GRIP
Press-Fit systems were promised as the ultimate and light solution for our crankset-frame interface connection. In the real world, when manufacturing tolerances, maintenance, weather conditions or just thousands of kilometers are introduced into the equation, Press-Fit interfaces sometimes create more problems than they solve. Many riders, and their ride partners and/or mechanics, suffer annoying creaking noises, loose bottom brackets or too tight and nearly impossible to remove cups. The industry is currently moving back to threaded systems, which is great if you are planning to buy a new frame but not so great is you want to use your current bike for more time. We have developed the solution for current and future Press-Fit frames and we have called it Gecko Grip.
Gecko Grip is a clever design with a ring that threads itself into the BB cup while you thread the BB cup into the frame. The expansion of the Gecko Grip ring presses against the frame and locks the cup allowing the ceramic bearings to move smoothly alongside your crankset. It does not matter whether your frame was manufactured with high-precision and low tolerance methods or not. The Gecko Grip will adapt to the shell shape without risking any damage to it.

FORGED CARBON
First introduced in our OSPW series, Forged Carbon has a combination of properties that makes it the best material for many cycling applications. The BB cups of all our 6CBB bottom brackets are only possible thanks to the development of this material by Ridea. Forged Carbon reduces the vibrations and it keeps its properties under very different weather conditions while keeping a low weight and high precision manufacturing measurements, making it the ideal material for bottom brackets.
NYLON SPINDLE SLEEVES
Forged Carbon is not the only exclusive material on Ridea 6CBB. Nylon bearing spindle sleeves increase performance and ease installation. Nylon is flexible for better adaptability to the spindle and it is not affected under extreme weather conditions.
EASY INSTALLATION
Press-Fit BBs require expensive tools, skills, and more often than not, time. The whole range of 6CBB Gecko Grip can be easily installed in few minutes with simple tools in a similar way as with threaded BBs. As a consequence, the BB shell suffers less mechanical stress while installing and uninstalling the 6CBB, increasing the lifetime of the frame.
